Year 7 Continue Their Winning Streak

The year 7 rounders team continued their winning run with a victory against Wyedean.

A couple of changes to the team didn’t upset the run of play and Lakers looked positive from the outset. During the first innings, we looked sharp, with Maisie Beach, Tia Watts and Megan Cotton looking strong in the outfield. Combined with some superb bowling from Izzy Sykes, the opposition batters were kept at bay scoring only 3 rounders. With the bat, again we were on form and not only took a score from some superb hitting, but also took advantage from Wyedean errors in the field, finishing the innings on 9 1/2. Small changes on key posts in the second innings proved costly for the Lakers team as we missed to many opportunities to stump the opposition out. Despite our slight drop in accuracy during the second innings, Lakers held their own and went on to win the match by a very convincing 4 rounders. An excellent match to continue what has been a very successful season so far.
