Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group has written a five-year plan called ‘Gloucestershire’s Future in Mind’. The aim of the plan is to try and make things better for children and young people with mental health problems in Gloucestershire.
We are all aware that growing up can be tough and that children and young people have a lot of challenges to face. The emotional wellbeing of children and young people has a significant impact on all areas of their lives including academic achievement and their relationships with friends and family.
With the help of young people, Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group has created the ‘On Your Mind’ website to help young people in Gloucestershire to cope with life’s ups and downs and get help when they need it.
The website signposts to local services, provides some initial self-help advice and directs young people to trusted national websites and helplines. Gloucestershire County Council’s Ambassadors for Vulnerable Children and Young People have also created this video to raise awareness of the importance of talking about mental health.
If there is anything else happening in Gloucestershire to help children and young people with their mental health, please contact Vicky Townsend at firstname.lastname@example.org.
